DEEP SWIM LESSONS

DEEP Free Swim Lesson Program
STEP ONE: Submit your application as soon as possible. Fill it out and bring to the YMCA. Please be sure to include a working phone number and email on your application.
STEP TWO: Once approved, a Y staff will call or email you with instructions about how to register for swim class.
Classes will run during Fall 1 and Fall 2 Sessions.
Fall Session 1 runs 9/11/23 - 10/29/23 (classes meet 1x a week for 8 weeks)
Fall Session 2 runs 10/30/23 - 12/17/23 (classes meet 1x a week for 8 weeks)
Lesson availability may vary based on swim level indicated.

Funding provided by the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) administered by the Connecticut Department of Energy and Environmental Protection (DEEP).
Swim lessons at the YMCA provide important life skills that could save a life, and provide benefits for a lifetime. Instructors are highly trained in our nationally recognized swim lesson curriculum. Lessons are held in the swimming pool. Students learn personal water safety and achieve basic swimming competency.
To qualify, you must meet ONE of the following criteria:

Be eligible for SNAP benefits or eligible for benefits through the Dept. of Social Services.
