We still have spaces for our Distance Learning Program located at the Middlesex YMCA. 

Children cannot begin the program for 3 full business days from the time of online registration. We cannot make exceptions to this policy and are sorry for any inconvenience this may cause.


The Distance Learning Support Program follows all health & safety guidelines recommended by the CDC and the Office of Early Childhood.

Distance Learning Support Program


  • When is the first day of Distance Learning Support Program? 

    • The full day distance programs at the YMCA will OPEN ON Tuesday, September 8th. 

    • The program will be closed when school has a planned closure/holiday such as Thanksgiving, Christmas break, MLK Day, etc.

  • What are the program hours? 

    • The hours of the program will be 8:00am-5:30pm, Monday-Friday on the days in which your child has distance learning. 

  • Where is the program located? 

    • The program takes place at the Middlesex YMCA, 99 Union Street. The program hours are 8am-5:30pm. 

  • How many children are in the program?

    • Each space at the YMCA will have a group of 12-14 students. 

  • What is the cost?

    • The cost per day is $50, per child. Payments for this program will be due on a weekly basis. The YMCA does offer financial assistance for household incomes under $80,000 and also accepts Care4Kids.                  Contact Amy Cardoza for more info. 

  • What is the DROP OFF procedure & schedule? 

    • Drop off and pick up will be at the side entrance of the YMCA that faces Middlesex Hospital. Children will need to be dropped off and signed in by a YMCA staff between 8-8:45 as children will need to be ready to log in to their classes by 8:50am.

  • What does my child need to bring? 

    • Children will need to come to the program daily with their Chromebook, iPad, etc. to get on to the distance learning portals as well as a pair of headphones.

    • Children will also need to bring a water bottle, lunch and 2 snacks with them daily.

You WILL receive a confirmation as soon as the registration has been submitted.

There are three options to choose from when you register. You must sign up for the same days each week; we are unable to accommodate rotating schedules.

  • One day a week

  • Two days a week

  • Three days a week


All participants must have a one week deposit on file equal to the number of days a week you are registering for. New registrants to the program will be contacted after their registration has been processed for the one week deposit. The deposit will be credited to your last week of distance learning programs. At this time we have registration set up through the end of October and will re-evaluate at that time.


To participate in the full day programs, your child must have a program membership. If your child is NOT a program member of the YMCA, when you register you will need to set up a monthly individual membership for them which is $8/month which will be added to your bill. There is also a one-time $10 enrollment fee.​
