Join us for Middletown’s Walk in the Park for a Healthy Community on May 5th
MIDDLETOWN, CONNECTICUT, April 24, 2019 –The YMCA has joined forces with three other area non-profits to host Middletown’s Walk in the Park for a healthy community being held on May 5th from 12pm – 5pm at Middletown Veteran’s Park. FREE ADMISSION for all students & children under the age of 18.
Middlesex YMCA, St. Vincent DePaul, Middlesex Habitat for Humanity and Kuhn Employment Opportunities have a great family friendly SUNDAY FUNDAY planned. Great live music, obstacle courses, brain walk challenges, climbing tower, martial arts demonstrations, healthy living exhibits and chances to win great prizes! Admission includes all activities and healthy snacks. Cost for an individual adult is $10. Families with 3 or more adults is $25. Children under the age of 18 are FREE. Students with ID are free.

The CT National Guard will be providing a 90 foot Obstacle Course and Climbing Tower. Visitors will enjoy demonstrations from Tat Karate, Wong Kung Fu Academy and 360 Defense Martial Arts. YMCA staff and departments have formed teams that will be walking together through the Brain Walk Challenge. The one mile staggered walk will begin at 12:30pm and includes Brain Challenges which can earn participants extra opportunities to earn prizes. After the walk, Plywood Cowboy and Middletown HS Jazz Ensemble will be performing.
