On Friday, December 20th, our Y will be participating in PJ Day for the kids at CCMC for a third year in a row. PJ Day for the Kids is an opportunity for students and business partners across the state to show support for patients at Connecticut Children’s Medical Center. Over the last 9 years, participants have worn PJ’s in honor of children at the hospital who must wear their PJ’s for extended periods of time while fighting cancer or other serious illnesses. Join in and raise funds, awareness, and hope for these brave kids. Please take a moment to watch the 2 ½ minute video about this awesome fundraiser.
Middlesex YMCA Staff have been participating in this event for the past 3 years and thought it would be fun to change the theme a little. We will be doing an UGLY CHRISTMAS SWEATER DAY instead of a PJ Day for the third year in a row on December 20th.
For a donation of just $5 (or more!), Y staff can wear their ugliest Christmas Sweater all day to work and as they gather for the staff holiday luncheon. It will be an amazing day to spread some holiday cheer.
Ceara Ladue, Assistant Director of School Age Childcare and PJ Day at the YMCA Coordinator shares,
"YMCA staff have had so much fun with this event the past 2 years and it is bound to be even more fun this year! There will also be a prize for best (and ugliest) Christmas sweater/outfit (as voted on by the group)."
Even if staff cannot be here that day, they are welcome to make a donation of any amount on the website under our team name (Middlesex YMCA) by visiting give.connecticutchildrens.org/pjday.
