YMCA PRESCHOOL
Our preschool serves a full continuum of families including those with and without economic challenges as it prepares children for their continued educational journey. The YMCA Preschool Program provides high quality, professional childcare and early childhood education to children age 3 – 5 years. The preschool provides a safe and nurturing environment that promotes the physical, social, emotional and cognitive development of young children. In addition, the preschool acts as an education resource for parents and provides assistance in meeting the needs of the families served.
The preschool is licensed by the state of Connecticut, accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC), and funded by the Connecticut Early Start Program.
The Center uses the CT Early Learning Development Standards (ELDS) to tailor a play-based curriculum to the children's needs and interests. All preschool sites are staffed by well trained, caring professionals who will take great care of your child as they develop their own talents, uniqueness, and independence.
