Marianna Bean - Healthy Lifestyles Coordinator & Personal Trainer

Marianna graduated from Lasell University in Newton MA where she studied exercise science,  exercise physiology and strength & conditioning and interned at Boston Medical Center in the cardiac rehabilitation and cardiac stress testing facility. Marianna played field hockey in college, and during her senior year won the all-sportsmanship award.

 Aside from playing field hockey, Marianna stays active by running, bike riding and lifting. As a trainer,  Marianna tailors workouts specifically for her client's goals while progressing their workouts for ultimate success.

Lee L. Full Time Fitness Maintenance Coordinator & Personal Trainer

Lee has been serving the fitness needs of YMCA members for over 10 years.  He currently serves as a personal trainer as well as the Health & Fitness Maintenance Coordinator.  Fitness and athletics have always played a large part in his life.  A graduate of Wesleyan University, Lee played varsity hockey and baseball and was involved in off-season strength and conditioning programs for each sport.  Certified through AFAA, he is currently a competitive powerlifter with 8 years of training experience.  Powerliftingwatch.com has ranked Lee among the top 50 masters lifters in the raw 198lb class. His best competition raw lifts include a 615lb squat, a 410lb bench press, a 590lb deadlift, and 1575 total. His specialties include strength training and weight loss.  Lee enjoys educating and motivating his clients to reach their goals through his specialized training programs.  He currently resides in Middletown with his wife and two daughters.

Wanda T. - Personal Trainer

Born in Puerto Rico, Wanda is not only multicultural but also bilingual,  fluent in Spanish.

She earned her BS from the University of Puerto Rico, majoring in Marine Biology. She earned her MS in Oceanography and years later, earned her MA in Liberal Sciences from Wesleyan University. Over 10 years ago, she was diagnosed with diabetes type 2. Her triglycerides,  cholesterol,  blood pressure and blood glucose number were "in the red" range,  or too high. Eight years later, she started working with a personal trainer. She learned about nutrition, to read nutritional labels and meal prepping. A year and a half later, she was able to come off her diabetes medications and is now able to control the disease with nutrition and fitness alone. Wanda holds certifications in ACE Diabetes Training Program and W.I.T.S. Personal Training. 

Motivated to help and inspire others (and thinking about a post retirement career), she earned her WITS Level 2 Personal Trainer certification. Her goals include training seniors and helping diabetics manage, and control the disease with a healthy lifestyle."
