Marianna Bean - Healthy Lifestyles Coordinator & Personal Trainer

Marianna graduated from Lasell University in Newton MA where she studied exercise science,  exercise physiology and strength & conditioning and interned at Boston Medical Center in the cardiac rehabilitation and cardiac stress testing facility. Marianna played field hockey in college, and during her senior year won the all-sportsmanship award.

 Aside from playing field hockey, Marianna stays active by running, bike riding and lifting. As a trainer,  Marianna tailors workouts specifically for her client's goals while progressing their workouts for ultimate success.

Craig C. Full Time Personal Trainer, MX4 & Group Exercise Instructor

Craig is a 1988 graduate of Portland High School.  Upon graduation, he joined the US Navy where he worked in the Hospital Corps and graduated from the Naval School of Health Science with a degree in Exercise Fitness Therapy.  While stationed in San Diego, CA, Craig ran a mentoring program for inner-city youth that focused on discipline and work ethic through sports and fitness.  He is currently certified as a Trainer First Class through the National Federation of Professional Trainers.  Craig’s motivation for becoming a Personal Trainer is to help people understand the importance of a healthy lifestyle and assist them in pushing through to achieve their goals.  He specializes in weight loss and sport-specific training.  He is also a Rehabilitation Specialist, helping athletes as well as non-athletes recover from injury and surgery and get back to their normal functionality.  Craig also serves as a Y of the USA Certified Coach for Evidence Based Community Wellness Programs, LIVESTRONG at the Y, Healthy Weight and Your Child and our Diabetes Wellness Program.  His favorite inspirational quote is, “To not give all of yourself is to sacrifice the gift.” -Steve Prefontaine

Lee L. Full Time Fitness Maintenance Coordinator & Personal Trainer

Lee has been serving the fitness needs of YMCA members for over 10 years.  He currently serves as a personal trainer as well as the Health & Fitness Maintenance Coordinator.  Fitness and athletics have always played a large part in his life.  A graduate of Wesleyan University, Lee played varsity hockey and baseball and was involved in off-season strength and conditioning programs for each sport.  Certified through AFAA, he is currently a competitive powerlifter with 8 years of training experience. has ranked Lee among the top 50 masters lifters in the raw 198lb class. His best competition raw lifts include a 615lb squat, a 410lb bench press, a 590lb deadlift, and 1575 total. His specialties include strength training and weight loss.  Lee enjoys educating and motivating his clients to reach their goals through his specialized training programs.  He currently resides in Middletown with his wife and two daughters.

Kyle Macri - Personal Trainer

Kyle chose to become a trainer in order to help motivate others toward reaching their goals and adapting a healthier lifestyle. Whether you’re just getting started, or want to find your edge, she can help craft an appropriate plan for you.  As a self-motivated, “go-getter”, fitness and athletics have always played a major role in her life. She is a former gymnast, competes in obstacle races, and has participated in basketball, swimming, track, and softball. Her current focus is on strength training. Before joining the team at the YMCA she operated her own personal training business, taught gymnastics, and led gym classes for a local school. Exercise and a healthy lifestyle have always been a huge passion in her life and she truly enjoys teaching others about the physical and mental benefits of challenging themselves. Kyle understands how difficult it is to balance the demands of work as well as the many demands of running a household. She also understands that getting motivated can be difficult – but is totally obtainable!  She currently holds a personal training certificate through the NCSF and a small group training certificate through NETA.  When not at the gym she enjoys experimenting in the kitchen with healthy family friendly recipes, making memories with her daughter, and taking her dog for walks.

Wanda T. - Personal Trainer

Born in Puerto Rico, Wanda is not only multicultural but also bilingual,  fluent in Spanish.

She earned her BS from the University of Puerto Rico, majoring in Marine Biology. She earned her MS in Oceanography and years later, earned her MA in Liberal Sciences from Wesleyan University. Over 10 years ago, she was diagnosed with diabetes type 2. Her triglycerides,  cholesterol,  blood pressure and blood glucose number were "in the red" range,  or too high. Eight years later, she started working with a personal trainer. She learned about nutrition, to read nutritional labels and meal prepping. A year and a half later, she was able to come off her diabetes medications and is now able to control the disease with nutrition and fitness alone. Wanda holds certifications in ACE Diabetes Training Program and W.I.T.S. Personal Training. 

Motivated to help and inspire others (and thinking about a post retirement career), she earned her WITS Level 2 Personal Trainer certification. Her goals include training seniors and helping diabetics manage, and control the disease with a healthy lifestyle."
