More than $14,000 Raised at the Fall BINGO Fundraising Event

On Thursday, September 16th, more than 100 people came out to support the cause driven work of the YMCA. Community volunteers worked with Lori Lodge, Director of Fund Development to host our 1st BINGO fundraiser. Michele Rulnick, YMCA CEO / President presented flowers to the volunteers Johanna Bond, Middlesex Chamber of Commerce; Kelly Smith, NFP; Karen Warren, YMCA Board of Director Chairwoman for their efforts and thoughtfulness in planning such a wonderful evening. It was such a success that Lori is already looking ahead to host a family friendly BINGO event in Spring 2021. Stay tuned for more info!

"Thank you to our business partners and event sponsors for their support. These generous and philanthropic organizations and businesses support nonprofits across Middlesex Counties. Without their support, most of us would not be in business and we would not be able to have the reach that we have in our organizations."

Michele Rulnick, YMCA CEO/President.

Over the past year, the Y was there for folks. We were serving food to the men who live in our residence. We were operating Emergency Childcare and Distance Learning Programs. The Y represents that human connection. Michele Rulnick shared thoughts about why she has dedicated more than 30 years to working at the Y.

"It is because, we serve people. Don't we all crave human connection? Isn't that why we are all here together tonight?"

The Y provides human connection. The guys who live in the residence. Single moms who use our childcare or the folks in their 80s who just lost a spouse who come back to the Y every single day because that is where they can be with their friends. The Y can't do this work without the support of businesses, donors and those who attend our fundraising events. Thank you to all who attended. Thank you for caring about the work we do to make an impact.

You make US A BETTER US!!

The Y is for everyone; no child, family or adult is turned away because of an inability to pay. But we cannot do it alone! Join us at the Fall Fundraiser and help us raise the funds necessary to provide high quality programs and services that are so important in closing the achievement gap, nurturing children and teens, improving community health and supporting those in need within our community. Our programs, serves and initiatives strive to enable kids to realize their potential; provide teens opportunities for recreational and personal growth; offer ways for families to have fun together; empower people to be healthier in spirit, mind and body; help older adults take greater control of their health through physical activity and social events; help a cancer survivor regain their strength and provide meals for men residing at the YMCA.
