YMCA receives foundation grant

MIDDLETOWN - The Northern Middlesex YMCA has received a $5,000 grant from the Community Foundation of Middlesex County in order to fund the Distance Learning Support Program at the YMCA. The Distance Learning Support Program runs 8:00am-5:30pm, Monday-Friday on the days in which a child has distance learning and follows all health & safety guidelines recommended by the CDC and the Office of Early Childhood. Caring adult youth development professionals provide all assistance needed to help students log into their device and engage in distance learning. Free access to YMCA wifi is provided. Engaging enrichment activities are provided for children once school work is complete.The CFMC grant will be used to provide financial assistance through the YMCA Open Doors program for families with household incomes under $80,000 per year.
